Most recreational boats and RVs run 12V DC house banks. Larger yachts and commercial vessels sometimes use 24V or 32V for lower current draw on long wire runs.

RVs and trailer boats: 12V. Twin-engine cruisers and trawlers: check your panel — may be 24V for house loads.
Pump Selection
SEAFLO bilge and water pumps are labeled by voltage. A 12V pump on 24V will fail quickly; match nameplate to bus voltage.
Switch Panels
The 3-way bilge switch supports both 12V and 24V marine circuits — verify fuse sizing doubles when voltage doubles for same wattage.
Wire Size Notes
24V systems allow smaller conductors for the same power — still use marine tinned wire and ABYC-compliant sizing charts.
