Freezing water expands and cracks pumps, fittings, and accumulator bladders. Winterizing protects SEAFLO 33 Series pumps and tanks in cold-storage climates.
Drain the System
Empty fresh and gray tanks. Open low-point drains and blow out lines with compressed air if available.
Pump Bypass
Many RVs include a winterization valve drawing antifreeze from a jug. If not, disconnect inlet and feed RV antifreeze into pump head briefly on low pressure.
Antifreeze Through Fixtures
Run each hot and cold faucet until pink antifreeze appears. Flush toilet and shower diverters too.
Spring Startup
Flush lines with fresh water until clear. Reconnect inlets, pressurize, and check the 33 Series pump for leaks before first trip.
